High-Speed Turbo Fan Buyer Questions

Concise answers for product selection, sample evaluation, OEM/ODM planning and document review. Model-specific specifications, certifications, pricing and lead time require current written confirmation.

Direct answer

Use this FAQ to prepare questions and acceptance criteria. Do not treat a category description, image or general answer as proof that a specific configuration meets a performance or compliance requirement.

Performance and testing

How should products be compared?

Is RPM enough to compare turbo fans?

No. RPM describes motor or impeller speed but does not by itself prove air speed, airflow, static pressure, efficiency, noise or performance at a working distance.

What is the difference between air speed, airflow and static pressure?

Air speed is velocity at a defined point, airflow is volume moved through an area, and static pressure describes the ability to overcome restriction. The application determines which measurement matters most.

Which test conditions should be declared?

Declare the exact model and version, speed setting, distance and position, fixture, instrument, environmental conditions, battery state, test date and acceptance rule.

How should noise be compared?

Use the same measurement distance, orientation, room, background noise, speed setting and operating state. A dB number without those conditions is not a reliable comparison.

How should runtime be reported?

State the battery version, starting state of charge, speed setting, accessories, ambient conditions and shutdown threshold. Report runtime by mode rather than only a best-case maximum.

Can buyers repeat the supplier's test?

They should be able to. Request the method, fixture, instrument and acceptance rule, then reproduce the check on the approved sample or through an agreed third party.

Samples and customization

How does an OEM/ODM review work?

Can buyers request samples?

Yes. Sample availability, cost, timing and configuration require confirmation. Approve the sample against a written checklist and retain an agreed reference sample when appropriate.

What does OEM/ODM support include?

Depending on feasibility, support may include model selection, colors, logos, packaging, accessories and engineering review. The final scope, validation, MOQ, price and schedule are confirmed in writing.

Does a color or logo change require retesting?

It depends on the change. Cosmetic changes may have limited impact, while materials, battery, motor, firmware, charger, housing geometry or accessories can affect performance and compliance. Classify the change before approval.

What is a golden sample?

It is the mutually approved physical reference for appearance, function and workmanship. It should be linked to the signed specification, artwork and change-control record.

How should production changes be controlled after sample approval?

Identify the proposed component, material, firmware, artwork or packaging change; assess its impact on performance, safety, documents and the approved sample; then obtain written approval before implementation. See the sample approval and change-control guide.

Commercial and document review

What must be confirmed in writing?

Does one certificate cover every product?

Not automatically. Verify the applicant, standard, report or certificate number, date, model list, configuration and destination-market applicability.

Which battery transport documents should buyers review?

Match the exact cell and battery-pack identities, Watt-hour rating and shipment form to the applicable UN 38.3 test-summary scope, current classification, packing instructions and shipment-specific carrier requirements. See the battery transport document guide.

What should an RFQ include?

Include the application, destination market, quantity, required performance, test distance, noise and runtime limits, charging, dimensions, branding, packaging, required documents and target schedule.

Where are MOQ, price and lead time published?

They are not treated as universal facts because they depend on model, customization, quantity, materials and capacity. Use the final written quotation for current commercial terms.

Does market coverage mean a local office or inventory?

No. Export supply to a market does not itself prove a local office, warehouse, stock or service center. Any local capability should be explicitly documented.

Still need a model-specific answer?

Send the product link or requirement set, destination market, quantity and required documents for a written review.

Make sourcing decisions from requirements, tests and controlled documents

Use the product, testing and evidence resources to prepare an RFQ, review a sample and confirm the exact configuration in writing.

Define

Document the application, target market, quantity, airflow objective, runtime, noise, charging and packaging requirements.

Test

Review the selected sample using declared methods, conditions and acceptance criteria rather than headline RPM alone.

Confirm

Bind specifications, documents, MOQ, price and lead time to the final model and written quotation.
