Local velocity
Useful when concentrated airflow at a defined point matters. Always record distance, position, mode and instrument.
Application engineering · repeatable comparison
Define the target, distance and restriction before comparing compact high-power airflow products. RPM alone cannot show delivered air speed, total airflow, static pressure, duty-cycle behavior or acoustic performance.

Specify the work to be done, then test at the real operating distance. Use air speed for a local jet, airflow for total volume moved and static pressure for performance against restriction. Record noise, input power, temperature and duty cycle at the same operating point.
Measurement choice
A high value in one metric does not guarantee a strong result in another.
Useful when concentrated airflow at a defined point matters. Always record distance, position, mode and instrument.
Useful when the amount of air moved through a known area matters. Document the fixture and calculation method.
Useful for nozzles, filters or constrained paths. Compare at a defined operating point, not as an isolated peak.
Sample acceptance
The setup is part of the result.
| Area | Minimum record | Decision supported |
|---|---|---|
| Use case | Target object, surface, distance and required task | Whether the configuration is relevant |
| Performance | Mode, fixture, instrument, distance and result | Comparable delivered airflow behavior |
| Electrical | Voltage, current or power, battery version and controls | Power-source and runtime planning |
| Thermal | Ambient condition, run time and measured locations | Duty-cycle and protection review |
| Acoustic | Distance, room, background noise and mode | Channel and workplace suitability |
| Protection | Intake, outlet, foreign-object and operating warnings | Use and safety review |
Exact values require a named model or controlled sample, a test setup and current documentation. Any structural, electrical or firmware change can require a new comparison and approval record.
Send the target task, distance, restriction, duty cycle, power source, destination market, quantity and acceptance criteria.
